B.Sc Radiotherapy is a three-year undergraduate course that imparts knowledge about radiation therapy to treat cancer and other diseases with ionizing radiation. A radiographer produces radiography of patients with the help of an X-ray to find the exact medical condition of the patient. In addition to X-ray, a radiographer also considers CT scans, ultrasounds, and MRI for producing radiography.
Radiation Technology combines both theoretical and clinical instructions covering topics such as physiology, anatomy, radiation physics, radiation imaging, radiation protection, positioning of patients, radiographic techniques, medical terminology, and patient care procedures.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board in India. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. Some institutes require a minimum aggregate score of 50% in class 12 an additional criterion of eligibility for B.Sc Radiotherapy.
The second way for admission to the B.Sc Radiotherapy course is an entrance exam. Some colleges enroll students based on the common entrance exams while others admit students directly on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
